Boston Red Sox vs. Houston Astros Preview
The Sox find themselves in the ALCS for the second time in four years. The last time they were there, they won the whole thing, defeating the Dodgers in the World Series by a mark of 4 games to 1. Their last series, a victory over their AL East rival Tampa Bay Rays, was mired in controversy after a bizarre rule allowed them to steal a game from Tampa, then put them in prime position to finish the Rays in Game 4.
This will be Houston’s fifth straight ALCS, where they are presently 2-2 during this stretch. Interestingly enough, the Astros have alternated wins and losses, winning in 2017 and 2019, then losing in 2018, 2020. Can the Astros keep the trend going and beat Boston this time around?
