Discovery CEO David Zaslav appeared on CNBC this morning to announce major deals with Hulu Live TV and Sling TV.
In the interview, Zaslav shared that Discovery’s 5 channels will be added to Hulu Live TV, Sling Orange, and Sling Blue.
New Channels Added:
- Discovery
- Investigation Discovery
- Animal Planet
- TLC
- Motor Trend Network (formerly Velocity)
The channels will join Discovery/Scripps channels Food Network, HGTV, and Travel Channel which were already available on the service.
As part of Hulu’s deal, they will also get access to 4,000 episodes of on-demand content for their Hulu Limited Commercials & No Commercials customers.
Some of the shows included are Deadliest Catch, Say Yes to the Dress, MythBusters and Naked and Afraid.
While no firm date of the channel’s availability was shared, it appears they will be made available by the end of the year.
