Disney Plus Reveals 2019 Blockbuster ‘Frozen 2’ Is Coming in Late June

One of the major draws of Disney+ is that starting with the 2019 slate of films, it will include all new release Disney films just months after they are released in theaters. Since the start of the year, Disney+ has seen the debut of live-action remakes of “Aladdin” and “The Lion King” in January and “Toy Story 4” in February.

Now, Disney+ has revealed that “Frozen II,” which was released in theaters in November, will be coming to the service on June 26 (in the U.S.). Internationally, it will be coming to the Netherlands on July 10 and Australia and New Zealand on July 31. The sequel follows Elsa, Anna, Kristoff and Olaf, as they head far into the forest to learn the truth about an ancient mystery of their kingdom.

In addition to other 2019 blockbusters still to come like Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker and Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, Disney+ will see new originals come to the service in 2020, including Marvel’s “WandaVision,” which was originally slated to debut in 2021.
