Disney Plus’ ‘Star Wars: The Clone Wars’ Begins Final Season on Feb. 21

The conclusion of Disney+’s “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” begins on Feb. 21 with “The Bad Batch” episode. The 12 new episodes detail the events leading up to “Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith.”

The series, created by George Lucas, stars Matt Lanter, Ashley Eckstein, Dee Bradley Baker, James Arnold Taylor, Katee Sackhoff, Tom Kane and Sam Witwer.

Disney+ sums up the next chapter as: “With the Republic on a losing streak, Captain Rex fears the Separatists are using stolen data to help predict the Grand Army’s every move. As the threat of defeat looms, Rex teams up with experimental Clone Force 99, also known as the Bad Batch. Together, they embark on a high-risk mission behind enemy lines to uncover the truth behind the Separatist victories.”

Dave Filioni, known for his work on “Avatar: The Last Airbender,” is the supervising director for the animated series, as well as the director of “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” animated feature. Filioni is also executive producer of Disney+’s mega-hit “The Mandalorian,” which was confirmed for a second season in October.

The streamer has gained 28.6 million subscribers since its November 2019 launch. It is predicted to hit 126 million subscribers worldwide by 2025.
