Hulu has added 60 FPS support to nearly all the remaining channels on their live TV service. The higher frame rate dramatically enhances streaming quality on channels with a lot of motion, especially live sports.
Added 60 FPS Channels
- All ABC affiliates
- All remaining FOX affiliates
- All ESPN channels
- Telemundo (national network)
- Disney Channel
- Disney Junior
- Disney XD
- Freeform
- SEC Network
- Universal Kids (West)
CBS affiliates are the only remaining channels that haven’t been upgraded from 30 FPS.
Services like DIRECTV NOW and PlayStation Vue already offered 60 FPS support on nearly every channel, while fuboTV and YouTube TV offered it on the majority of sports content.
The service has also re-added 60 FPS support to the Hulu App on all Fire TV devices, with the exception of the Fire TV Cube, Fire TV Streaming Stick (1st Gen), and Toshiba 4K Fire TV Edition. They had removed support for it in February due to buffering issues.
They had already supported the higher frame rate on iOS, Apple TV, Xbox One, Samsung TV, and Nintendo Switch.
