LEGO Channel Launches With 1,000-Plus Videos

Disney+, which offers a huge inventory of family fare, has a new competitor. And parents have new kid-friendly shows to stream.

The LEGO Channel, a free content kid’s app, has just launched. It can be accessed on all major OTT streaming platforms, including Roku, Fire TV and Apple TV.

The new LEGO channel has an inventory of more than 1,000 videos, including animated shows. Various series include “LEGO Designer Set Reviews,” “LEGO Friends” and “LEGO City.”

In addition, LEGO’s popular YouTube show “Rebrickulous” and specials from franchises, such as “LEGO Marvel,” are accessible.

The channel has debuted as a partnership between the toy company LEGO Group and video distributor Future Today.

Jay Shah, director of global content for the LEGO Group, said: “The LEGO Group’s mission is to inspire and develop the builders of tomorrow.” The channel enables the company to “reach even more kids who will connect through some really fun and engaging content to inspire creativity, imagination and learning.”

Vikrant Mathur, cofounder of Future Today, added the LEGO brand is “known by practically every parent and child in the U.S. and Canada. They have created an incredible and memorable programming franchise amassing fans everywhere over the last 80-plus years.”
