Quibi is once again adding to the diverse body of content premiering on the service. Today, the streamer announced “Squeaky Clean” (working title), an eight-episode cleaning and organization competition series that will be available on the service when it launches on April 6.
The series is produced by Authentic Entertainment and Shine TV, who are both part of the Endemol Shine Group.
“Squeaky Clean” takes three dirt-obsessed contestants over two competitive rounds — “The Scrub” and “The Shining” — and has them clean a shiny floor. The winner of each episode is determined by a signature white glove and blacklight test.
“Everyone swears by their own technique when it comes to cleaning” says Authentic Entertainment’s Helga Eike. “For the first time ever, we’ll challenge these self-proclaimed heroes of hygiene to put their skills to the test. What is more satisfying than a good before and after?”
Quibi will offer two plans — $4.99 with ads and $7.99 without ads. The ad-supported product will include a pre-roll ad, as well as a one to two mid-roll ads depending on the length of the content.
According to Quibi founder Jeffrey Katzenberg, the streaming service will rollout more than 175 new original shows and 8,500 quick bites of content, including comedies, dramas, dating shows and news in the year following its launch.
