Tubi Is Bringing 30 Seasons of Bob Ross’ ‘The Joy of Painting’ to Its Platform

Bob Ross’ “The Joy of Painting” has remained a cult phenomenon over the years and its expanding its audience. Free streaming service Tubi announced today that they will be bringing 30 seasons of the hit show onto their platform by the end of July. The show features the famed painter teaching audiences how to paint his renowned landscapes and can be found on the Docurama Channel on Tubi.

“The Joy of Painting” is part of The Bob Ross Channel, which is operated by Cinedigm, an entertainment company that secured exclusive rights for the art channel with Bob Ross Inc., the company that manages the late painter’s intellectual property.

“’The Joy of Painting’ has never been more popular, as evidenced by the ever-growing following and tremendous view count that Ross has garnered on social media platforms,” said Erick Opeka, president of Cinedigm Digital Networks. “We are thrilled to be working with Tubi to introduce new audiences to this iconic program.”

The partnership with Tubi is the latest venture to bring Ross’ art to the masses. In April, The Bob Ross Channel became available on Samsung connected TVs and launched on Sinclair Group’s free, ad-supported OTT streaming service, STIRR, in May.

Though he passed away 25 years ago, Ross still maintains a strong fan base, with his YouTube channel garnering over 330 million views to date while his social media boasts over 5.5 million followers.
