YouTube TV raises monthly subscription to $40/month

YouTube TV announced last month that they would be raising the price of the monthly subscription from $35 to $40/month. While those who subscribed prior to today would be grandfathered at the old rate, new subscribers will pay the new high pricing.

The good news is whether you are a member new or old, the service recently added a number of highly requested channels from Turner (TNT, TBS, CNN, truTV, Cartoon Network/Adult Swim, and Turner Classic Movies) and sports networks (MLB Network and NBA TV).

Additionally, they announced that the YouTube TV service will be available in the top 100 U.S. markets.
