Amazon's Free Streaming Service, IMDb TV, is Now Available in the IMDb Mobile App, As It Adds Content From Paramount & Lionsgate

In January, Amazon launched their free streaming service called IMDb Freedive, which has since been renamed IMDb TV, which is similar to The Roku Channel and Tubi. Today, the company has added their free selection of TV shows and movies, to the IMDb iOS and Android apps. Previously, IMDb TV was was available on Fire TV devices, Amazon Prime Video App, and IMDb.com.

Amazon has expanded their range of content with new deals with Paramount and Lionsgate, after the reaching deals with Warner Bros., Sony Pictures, and MGM in July. The ad-supported service offers free TV shows and movies with “half the ads of network TV”, according to Amazon.

IMDb TV is also bringing more award-winning titles to its growing collection of thousands of premium movies and TV shows. IMDb TV viewers now have free access to box office hits, including Academy Award-winning Silver Linings Playbook (Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence), Age of Adaline (Blake Lively, Michiel Huisman, Harrison Ford) and In the Heart of the Sea (Chris Hemsworth, Cillian Murphy), as well as fan-favorite TV shows like The Middle (Patricia Heaton, Neil Flynn), which is exclusively available on IMDb TV.

In September, fans of King Arthur: Legend of the Sword (Charlie Hunnam, Astrid Bergès-Frisbey, Jude Law) can stream the film exclusively on IMDb TV. Other films coming to the service includes Charlotte’s Web (Dakota Fanning, Julia Roberts, Oprah Winfrey) and 28 Days (Sandra Bullock, Viggo Mortensen, Dominic West).
