President Trump is scheduled to deliver his last State of the Union address before the next presidential election tonight. The speech will be broadcast on PBS, CBS, ABC, NBC, CNN, MSNBC, as well as Fox News.

The State of the Union comes as the president’s approval rate continues to plummet and “the country is more polarized now than it has been under any other president in recent history,” according to The Associated Press. Trump may address the ongoing impeachment trial, in which the Senate is expected to acquit him when the final vote takes place on Wednesday.
Trump is also expected to address the global health threat brought on by the coronavirus, since the U.S. recently declared a public health emergency and has taken measures to restrict entrance into the country because of the virus.
The Associated Press also said to expect Trump “to promote a strong economy” and “talk about what the White House calls a ‘blue-collar boom.’”
Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D-Mich.) will deliver the Democrat’s response to Trump’s address..
