There Will Be 33 Million Cord Cutters By The End of 2018

According to a new report by eMarketer, there will be 33 million cord cutters by the end of 2018. This is a nearly 33% increase from the year prior, which drops total US adults paying for TV to 186.7 million (down 4%).

The report predicts that there will be 55.1 million cord cutters by 2022, as cord cutting continues to grow at a double digit pace.

The shift is being accelerated by OTT services like YouTube, Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, HBO Now, and Sling TV (and other vMVPDs).
