Vidgo Expands ABC Into More Local Markets

OTT Vidgo has added another 19 cities to carry its streaming package.

Last December, the pre-paid streamer announced its offering — 60 channels for $39.99 month, which included all Disney Media Networks — ABC, ESPN, Disney Channel, Freeform, FX and National Geographic.

Eight ABC Owned Television Stations picked up the service: New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Houston, Raleigh/Durham and Fresno.

The Disney/ABC launch added to Vidgo’s existing portfolio from Discovery, A&E, ViacomCBS and NFL Network. Vidgo also partnered with Kiswe mobile, so users could watch/interact during live shows within its mobile app.

At the time, Sean Breen, SVP, Disney Media Distribution, stated: “Vidgo has smartly devised a robust channel line-up at a competitive price point compared to the limited economy package choices that are currently in the marketplace.”

Now, Vidgo has extended its local ABC reach. The new markets are:
