Amazon announced today that they will now be including their all-new Alexa Voice Remote with the Amazon Fire Stick. The new remote allows users to control power and volume directly from the remote. When the new Fire Stick launched in October, only the upgraded Fire Stick 4K came with the new remote.
The device which can stream 1080p HD up to 60fps will still cost only $39.99, while the Fire Stick 4K remains at $49.99. If you want to compare streaming devices, check out our Device Finder.
There is good news for existing Fire TV users. The company also slashed the price of the All-New Alexa Voice Remote by 50%. If you want to purchase the remote separately, it now only costs $14.99 (previously $29.99).
The All-New Alexa Voice Remote is compatible with all current generation Fire TV Devices, as well as the Amazon Fire TV (3rd Gen, Pendant Design). It is not compatible with the Amazon Fire TV (1st and 2nd Gen), Fire TV Stick (1st Gen), or Amazon Fire TV Edition Smart TVs.
