Season 22 returns with the show’s regular three nights per week schedule, airing on Sundays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. With COVID-19 still rampant, the selection of houseguests has been tricky for the season. As of yesterday, longtime host Julie Chen didn’t know the names of the 16 participants who will be competing this season.
Selected houseguests have been taking precautions for their health and safety and have been quarantined for the last two weeks, US Magazine reports.
Nonetheless, the virus has already seen some favorites eliminated. “We flew in a bunch of people, more than 16,” Chen Moonves told CBSN Los Angeles. “And some people I thought were definitely going in the house, they tested positive for COVID-19 so they couldn’t go in. And I thought, ‘Well, expect the unexpected.’ … I’ll just find out when I need to find out.”
