A “Parks and Recreation” reunion has been long overdue. Ever since the show went off air back in 2015, fans have been longing for Pawnee’s best to get together again for old times sake. Due to the COVID-19 quarantines, it’s finally happening. Tonight, Amy Poehler and the rest of the main cast get together for a reunion episode based on current times.
According to Collider, the episode centers around Leslie Knope (played by Poehler) as she checks in on her friends and workmates during the coronavirus lockdowns. The episode was filmed entirely on Zoom.
The special will help raise money for Feeding America's COVID-19 Response Fund. Sponsors State Farm and Subaru of America, along with NBCUniversal and the cast and producers of “Parks and Recreation,” will match any donations made up to $500,000 during the broadcast, Collider noted.
