Disney still has some surprises up its sleeves when it comes to its upcoming November 12th launch of Disney+. Today, the company announced that Avatar will be available on the day of launch. Written by James Cameron, “Avatar” takes us to the world of Pandora, where a man embarks on an epic adventure, ultimately fighting to save both the people he learns to love and the place he now calls home.

Disney+ will launch on November 12th at just $6.99 a month, nearly half the price of Netflix ($12.99). The service includes four simultaneous streams, unlimited downloads, 4K streaming across a range of devices including Roku, Apple TV, Android TV, Chromecast, iOS, Android, & Web.

They will launch with a deep catalog including the entire Disney Vault, Pixar and Star Wars libraries, MCU films like Captain Marvel, the entire 30 seasons of The Simpsons, and now Avatar. They will have six original series on day one including the highly anticipated Star Wars TV series — The Mandalorian.
