Ryan Seacrest Hosts ‘First Responder Fridays’ Series on iHeartRadio’s YouTube Channel

Ryan Seacrest is hosting “iHeartRadio’s First Responder Fridays With FirstNet, Built With AT&T.” The four-week series will stream live on iHeartRadio’s YouTube channel. It will also air across 90-plus iHeartRadio stations, saluting first responders and medical pros fighting COVID-19.

The show debuts today and runs every Friday through May 8.

Jason Porter, senior vice president, FirstNet Program at AT&T, said: “We are working alongside public safety in delivering the nation’s only congressionally mandated first responder network. Supporting first responders is our mission.”

As of April 14, Seacrest began asking listeners both online and via social media to share stories about helpful police, fire EMS and hospital workers. There are two ways of getting a message out: #iHeartFirstResponders and 1-833-3FRIDAY.

A special 7 p.m. ET radio tribute each week will feature a star artist performing a 30-minute set, dedicating songs to first responders and their families. Today’s show features Lewis Capaldi.

In addition, AT&T is donating $5.5 million to provide meals to those in need through World Central Kitchen, Feeding America, Salvation Army and Team Rubicon. The series hopes listeners and viewers will also support these four organizations. Listeners can Text TOGETHER to 20222.

FirstNet is the U.S.’ only high-speed broadband communications platform dedicated to first responders.

iHeartMedia claims one-quarter of a billion monthly listeners, extending across multiple platforms. The company has also teamed with BuzzFeed to produce “News O’Clock,” a new iHeartRadio podcast beginning April 20. The 20-minute show will cover politics and culture, including segments such as “The List” and interview-based “Say More.” Host and contributors will discuss topics such as the 2020 election and the COVID-19 pandemic.
