Which Shows Are Exclusive to Peacock?

With NBCUniversal releasing Peacock nationally on July 15, many users anticipate it will shake up streaming services. Early on in the announcement of the service, Peacock appeared as though it would become the exclusive home for many of NBC’s most popular programs, including “Parks and Recreation” and “The Office.” Parks and Recreation is currently available on Hulu and Netflix, while “The Office” streams on Netflix.

On July 15, “Parks and Recreation” will stream on Peacock, as well as Hulu and Netflix, and Netflix will still stream “The Office.” But that all changes in October 2020 when Peacock gets the exclusive rights to “Parks and Recreation.” And in January 2021, “The Office” will leave Netflix to stream exclusively on Peacock.

But those aren’t the only exclusive programs being offered. On its launch date, Peacock will become the essential platform for streaming much of NBC’s live programming. This includes late-night shows like “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” and “Late Night With Seth Meyers” and live sports such as Premier League soccer and the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics.

In addition, a number of reboots will eventually debut on Peacock, including “Battlestar Galactica,” “Punky Brewster” and “Saved by the Bell.”

Original Shows Exclusive to Peacock at Launch

At launch, users can expect to see the following original shows that are exclusive to Peacock:

  • “Brave New World,” an adaptation of Aldous Huxley’s popular novel featuring Alden Ehrenreich, Jessica Brown Findlay, Harry Lloyd and Demi Moore.
  • “Psych’s” second movie, titled “Psych 2: Lassie Come Home.”
  • “The Capture,” a London-centric spy show about surveillance and misinformation.
  • “Intelligence,” a new show featuring David Schwimmer of “Friends.”
  • “Lost Speedways,” an unscripted reality program featuring Dale Earnhardt Jr.
  • “In Deep With Ryan Lochte,” a new documentary about the Olympic swimmer.
  • New children’s show like “Where’s Waldo?,” “Cleopatra in Space” and “Curious George.”

Peacock has also announced a full spectrum of programming they anticipate to go into either pilot season or full release in the coming year. See a list of the biggest movies, TV shows, original programming, kids shows and sports events here.
