For the third season in a row, ESPN+ is including MLS LIVE, the league’s out-of-market package, with your ESPN+ subscription.
If you live away from your favorite team, you’ll be able to catch most games except those nationally televised on ESPN, FOX, FS1, and Twitter. As of right now, ESPN+ will broadcast 65 of the 71 games scheduled through mid-September.
Starting Thursday August 13th, ESPN+ will increase from $4.99 to $5.99 a month. But, if you subscribe by tomorrow, you will be grandfathered into the $4.99 pricing for the next year. Alternatively, you can subscribe for $50 a year — which will remain after the price change.
While in year’s past ESPN+ previously had in-market coverage of the Chicago Fire, those games will now air on WGN.
The return to MLS regular season play will begin across the league’s home stadiums on Thursday, August 20. However, FC Dallas and Nashville SC – the teams that did not participate in MLS is Back Tournament due to COVID-19 outbreaks – will kick-off next phase of league play with makeup matches between the two teams on Wednesday, August 12 and Sunday, August 16, at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas.
For soccer fans, ESPN+ also includes live international soccer like Serie A, Bundesliga, FA Cup, UEFA Nations League, EFL Championship, EFL Carabao Cup, Eredevise and more. If you want to catch other sports, they stream a daily MLB/NHL game, as well as UFC, Boxing, and College Sports.
