Some users are reporting that they are seeing a new Grid Guide on YouTube TV. According to a YouTube Engineer on Reddit, the update is rolling out incrementally and will be available across streaming devices like Apple TV, Roku, Xbox, Android TV. Visually, the grid guide is similar, but rows are now have a gap between content. Unfortunately, it still only shows a few hours ahead and isn't a true 14-Day Grid Guide similar to Hulu’s new Live Guide.

In the update, YouTube subscribers will now also see a recommended channel auto-playing on launch. The option, Autoplay on start, will automatically play one of your top recommendations, but can be turned off in settings. This is an attempt to make the streaming experience closer to what people are used to with cable TV. This way when you launch the app, you immediately start seeing content instead of having to tap in to it.
While the changes aren’t available to everyone right away, as like other features that YouTube TV has rolled out, it will become available to more users as they work out the kinks.
