AT&T TV is streaming version of the DIRECTV service with 4 plans starting at $60 a month. It should not be confused with the similarly named AT&T TV NOW.
Unlike other live TV streaming services, AT&T TV requires a 2-year contract and will increase $15-30 a month in your second year.
The Entertainment ($60) plan includes local channels and 0 of the top 35 cable channels. AT&T TV Choice ($65) plan adds your local RSN, OWN, Travel Channel, and College Sports Networks like BTN and SEC Network.
The more expensive AT&T TV Xtra plan adds Fox Sports 2, NBA TV, NHL Network, Golf Channel, Lifetime Movie Channel, and additional Discovery Networks, while the Ultimate plan adds a few Spanish-Language networks like ESPN Deportes and El Rey.
All four plans also include their 500 Hour DVR and the ability to stream across a wide variety of devices like Apple TV, Roku, Fire TV, Chromecast, iOS, Android, and your Computer. You will also get a AT&T TV Android TV box included in your service, but you can add an additional box for $10 a month (or $120 to buy it outright).

All AT&T TV plans offer the same set of local channels, including CBS, NBC, FOX, ABC, and Telemundo. Live local channels are available only in certain markets. However, on demand content is available in all areas the following day.
Local Channel Restrictions
You can only access local channels and regional sports networks when you are in your home market. For example, if you live in San Francisco and travel to New York, you will not be able to stream any local channels or RSNs.

National Sports Channels
Across all tiers AT&T TV includes national sports channels like ESPN, FS1, NBCSN, TBS, and TNT.
Regional Sports Networks (RSNs)
You will need to upgrade to at least the $65 Choice plan to get access to regional sports networks (RSNs), which are generally from Fox and NBC/Comcast.
RSNs in Other Markets
Unlike DIRECTV’s satellite service, the AT&T TV streaming service does not offer pro sports networks including NFL Network, NFL Sunday Ticket, or RedZone Channel.
Big Ten Network, ESPNU, and SEC Network are available starting with the $65 AT&T TV Choice plan. The service does not offer Pac-12 Network.
Other Sports Channels
ESPNEWS, Golf Channel, and the Olympic Channel are available on the $75 AT&T TV Xtra plan.
You can add HBO ($15), Cinemax ($11), Showtime ($11), and STARZ ($11) to any of the plans. New subscribers will get free access to all four premium networks for 3 months.
