DAZN Adds Discounted Annual Subscription, But Doubles Monthly Price to $19.99

Starting on Monday, March 25th — DAZN plans to raise their monthly subscription from $9.99 to $19.99 a month. The company will also add an annual subscription for $99.99 a year ($8.25 a month). As part of the changes, the company has also removed their 30-Day Free Trial meaning those wanting to test the service will have to subscribe to at least a month.

The company has emailed current and former subscribers to inform them that if they subscribe before Monday, they will be grandfathered into the old $9.99 a month plan.

The move comes just as they are about to launch a live look-in show with Major League Baseball called ChangeUp hosted by Adnan Virk. The channel will be produced by MLB Network and seems like it will resemble their MLB Network Strike Zone channel.

Until this deal, the service has focused on boxing and MMA rights in the U.S. DAZN which launched in the U.S. in September offers 80+ fights a year from Matchroom USA, Bellator, Golden Boy Promotions, World Boxing Super Series and Combate Americas.

Their five-year global partnership with Golden Boy Promotions brings superstar Canelo Alvarez to the live and on-demand service for his next 11 fights. Canelo’s next fight against Daniel Jacobs will air on DAZN on May 4th.
