At today’s Disney Investor Day, Disney unveiled some of the details of their upcoming SVOD streaming service, Disney+. As part of the announcement they revealed the service will debut in the U.S. on November 12th for $6.99 a Month or $70 a year. The service will expand internationally to Europe & Asia Pacific soon after, reaching both areas by the end of 2020.
In the first year, it will include 25 new original series, 10+ movies, 7,500 past episodes, 100 recent movies, and 400 library titles including the entire Disney Vault. The company announced 6 original shows and movies that will be available at launch, including the $100 million 10-episode Star Wars spin-off, “The Mandalorian” which was directed by Jon Favreau.

Starting with the 2019 theatrical slate, all Disney/Pixar/Marvel/Star Wars films will become exclusive to Disney+ meaning movies like the live-action versions of Aladdin, The Lion King, Captain Marvel, and Avengers: Endgame will only be available to stream on Disney+.
The service will be available on most major platforms at launch including streaming players like Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, Chromecast, Smart TVs, gaming consoles like Xbox, PS4, and Nintendo Switch, as well as iOS, Android, and your computer. The company has already made deals with Roku and PS4 to feature the streaming service at launch.
