Disney Plus Launches Discounted Early Presale in UK, Germany, Italy, Spain, and More

Disney+ announced this morning that starting today customers can save if they subscribe the streaming service ahead of the official March 24th launch. Streamers in UK (£49.99), Germany (€59.99), Italy (€59.99), Spain (€59.99), Ireland (€59.99), Austria (€59.99), and Switzerland (84.90 CHF) can save nearly 20% on an annual subscription in the pre-sale.

Disney+, the highly anticipated ad-free streaming service which offers exclusive series and films from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and National Geographic will officially arrive on March 24th.

The first year will include 25 new original series, 10+ movies, 7,500 past episodes, 100 recent movies, and 400 library titles including the entire Disney Vault.

Disney+ will be the exclusive home of all of Walt Disney’s blockbuster films starting with the 2019 slate, which will roll-out to the platform within the first year.

The media giant will be making exclusive shows and films for the streaming service including 25 originals that will be available at launch, including the $100 million 8-episode Star Wars spin-off called “The Mandalorian”. In addition to The Mandalorian, the service also has High School Musical: The Musical The Series, Forky Asks a Question, SparkShorts, Encore!, Marvel’s Hero Project, and The World According to Jeff Goldblum.

Over the next few years, the company expects to have 50+ new original series on the service — including a reboot of Lizzie McGuire, an Obi-Wan Kenobi series, Cassian Andor, Loki, WandaVision, as well as Ms. Marvel, Moon Knight, & She Hulk.

New feature films exclusive to Disney+ include “Togo,” an exhilarating true story starring four-time Oscar nominee Willem Dafoe; “Stargirl,” an offbeat coming-of-age story based on the critically-acclaimed, New York Times best-selling novel; and “Timmy Failure: Mistakes Were Made,” following the hilarious exploits of Timmy and a 1,500-pound polar bear. “Lady and the Tramp,” a timeless re-telling of the 1955 animated classic will also be available to enjoy on March 24th.

As previously announced, the streaming service will launch in the UK, Ireland, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Austria, and Switzerland on March 24th. Additional Western Europe markets, including Belgium, the Nordics, and Portugal, will follow in summer 2020.
