‘Selling Sunset’ Gets Greenlit for Third Season on Netflix

Netflix’s “Selling Sunset” is on a roll. The reality show has been renewed for a third season, kicking off August 7. But its eight-episode season two debuts today.

“Selling Sunset” covers the cutthroat world of Los Angeles’ luxury real-estate market. Seven women realtors work at The Oppenheim Group, the top agency in the Hollywood Hills. They are super-competitive with each other, while trying to balance their often-explosive personal lives.

Think luxury mansions, romance and ambition on overdrive as the backdrop to what’s next.

The cast includes Chrishell Stause, Christine Quinn, Maya Vander, Mary Fitzgerald, Heather Young, Davina Potratz, Romain Bonnet, Amanza Smith, Jason Oppenheim and Brett Oppenheim.

The teaser at the end of season two offers a look at upcoming big personal changes — Stause’s husband has filed for divorce and Quinn’s wedding — as well as a $40 million new house sale. The season three footage hints at the future upheaval and success of the driven realtors.

The Wrap was the first to announce the season three news.

Netflix has another move in store for viewers: It will ask inactive members if they want to keep the service. If they fail to respond to the request, the streamer will cancel their subscriptions.

The streamer will also turn Sarah Vaughan’s bestseller “Anatomy of a Scandal” will be transformed into a series.
