Endemol Shine Group Enters Into Partnership With Vizio, New Content Available for SmartCast Users

It looks like the Endemol Shine Group has locked in yet another distributor as the media company announced they entered into a new content partnership with Vizio. The new partnership gives U.S.-based Vizio SmartCast Home users access to some of Endemol Shine Group’s entertainment channels.

The rollout offers free 24-hour streaming channels and more than 600 episodes of entertainment favorites for audiences searching for feel-good TV. Customers can find the “Deal or No Deal,” “Wipeout,” “DIY Daily” and “Reel Truth Crime” channels under the free channels section on the Vizio SmartCast Home screen.

“With one of the largest smart TV footprints in the U.S., and with a surge in streaming content overall, Vizio SmartCast provides an ideal platform to reach millions of consumers with entertainment they crave, and demonstrates our continued commitment to contributing to the future of TV,” said Kasia Jablonska, head of digital distribution and monetization, Endemol Shine Group.

The news comes as the Endemol Shine Group has been on quite the roll in securing distribution partners. Last month, the Endemol Shine Group announced that they entered into a multi-territory content partnership with Plex. The deal brings Endemol Shine’s programming to Plex users in the U.S., UK, Canada, Australia, Germany, France, Italy and Spain.

In late April, the company also announced they were extending their partnership with Samsung TV Plus with the launch of two new channels in the U.S. — “Sterling Drama” and “Deal or No Deal.” The company is also adding an another scripted drama channel, “Der Serienkanal,” in Germany. The new launches followed the launch of three genre-based channels on Samsung’s TV Plus service in the UK last year in addition to channels launched across Europe including France, Italy and Spain.
