New NBC App Brings Content From Across All NBC Networks Like Bravo, E!, & SYFY Into a Single App

NBC has made a major overhaul to The NBC App, meaning that you will no longer need individuals apps for every channel in the NBCU family. With the new update you can watch live and on-demand content from across the NBCUniversal’s entertainment & news networks in a single app.

The app supports channels like Bravo, E!, Oxygen, SYFY, USA — but does not include sports channels like NBCSN, Golf Channel, or NBC RSNs. It will also now let you stream live events broadcast across their networks, which means you can catch telecasts like E! Live from the Red Carpet whether you’re home or on the road.

Included Networks

To access the full NBC library of shows and live broadcasts, you will need to login with your TV Everywhere credentials of your cable or streaming provider. Fortunately, all the major Live TV Streaming Services can be used with the NBC App.

Viewers are also able to watch the latest episodes of brand-new NBC series like This Is Us the day after they air on TV for free without logging into a TV provider. Lovers of Knight Rider, Miami Vice and Amazing Stories can rejoice, because all these classic shows are now available for free in the app.

The NBC app is available for free on iOS and Android devices, as well as Apple TV, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Xbox, and Samsung TV.

The new update comes a day after parent company, NBCUniversal, announced it would be removing The Office from Netflix at the end of 2020 and onto its unnamed streaming service set to launch in early 2020.

The new app might be an early indication for what’s to come with the service since it will also be free to anyone who subscribes to a pay TV service, including Live TV Streaming Services. Like Hulu, the service is expected to offer an ad-free tier for an additional fee — which has been previously reported at $10+.
