YouTube Adds Student Discount on YouTube Music & YouTube Premium

YouTube announced today that they have rolled out student discounts for their YouTube Music Premium and YouTube Premium subscriptions.

YouTube Music Premium is discounted to $4.99 a month (normally $9.99) and YouTube Premium is only $6.99 (normally $11.99). If you subscribe before January 31, 2019 — you can get YouTube Premium for only $5.99 a month.

YouTube Music Premium is similar to Spotify and offers unlimited ad-free music to millions of songs, as well as offline access to music.

YouTube Premium includes YouTube Music, but also adds YouTube Original Shows like Cobra Kai and ad-free viewing on YouTube.

To be eligible, you must be enrolled as a full-time student at a Title IV accredited college or university in the United States.
