YouTube TV Now Supports 60 FPS on Nearly Every Channel

YouTube TV has been quietly rolling out 60 fps support to nearly every channel on the service. Users are reporting that over the last two days, all but CNBC and some local affiliates are still broadcasting in 30 fps.

The full list of newly supported channels is below.

The service started adding support for 60 fps earlier this year and added support on local CBS and NBC affiliates in July.

The higher frame rate dramatically enhances streaming quality on channels with a lot of motion, especially live sports.

Services like DIRECTV NOW, Hulu Live TV, and PlayStation Vue already offer 60 fps support on nearly every channel, while fuboTV has it on the majority of sports channels.
