The Democratic Convention, scheduled August 17-20, will virtually feature various A-list musicians, including Billie Eilish, John Legend, the Chicks and Common.
Other performers, including Leon Bridges, Jennifer Hudson, Maggie Rogers, Prince Royce and Stephen Stills, will be in attendance to formalize the Joe Biden-Kamala Harris ticket.
Stephanie Cutter, program executive for the convention, stated: “These artists are committed to engaging with, registering and mobilizing voters to get us over the finish line in November.”
The lineup features both new and classic songs, as well as the Commonwealth Youthchoirs’ select 57 members, representing 50 states and territories. They will perform “The Star-Spangled Banner” the first night.
Eilish and Rogers partnered with HeadCount to help educate their fans about voter registration.
Political heavy hitters, such as Michelle Obama, are slated to speak Monday night, Bill Clinton will address the audience Tuesday night, while President Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton are on Wednesday night’s schedule. Gov. Cuomo, Sens. Booker and Warren, among others, are also featured.
