Comic-Con@Home Highlights Key Streaming Panels, From Hulu’s ‘Helstrom’ to CBS All Access’ ‘Star Trek’
San Diego Comic-Con 2020 was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic, a first in its 50-year history. This year, Comic-Con@Home runs July 22-26. Between 300 and 400 virtual panels are planned for the event — which is free.
All panels are streaming on the Comic-Con YouTube Channel.
Streamers are actively participating in panels, highlighting established and upcoming shows. Amazon Prime Video is bringing “The Boys,” “Upload,” “Truth Seekers” and “Utopia” to the convention.
Hulu’s panel promotes its upcoming Marvel series “Helstrom,” as well as “Solar Opposites” and “Crossing Swords.” CBS All Access is planning a mega “Star Trek” universe panel, incorporating “Picard,” “Discovery” and “Lower Decks.”
Peacock, Apple TV+, Disney+ and HBO Max will make their Comic-Con debuts, too.

“Star Trek” Universe: “Picard,” “Discovery” and “Lower Decks”
Executive producers Alex Kurtzman and Heather Kadin preview what’s ahead in the ever-expanding franchise on CBS All Access.

“Utopia”
Amazon’s thriller is about young comic fans who discover the conspiracy in a graphic novel is real — and try to save mankind. Cast and producers, including John Cusack (“High Fidelity”), Rainn Wilson (“The Office”), Sasha Lane (“American Honey”), are participating.

“His Dark Materials”
Highlights from the first season and what’s coming in season two. Executive producers, as well as cast members, participate. Fans can follow live coverage of the panel on Twitter from @daemonsanddust and use #HisDarkMaterials to join the conversation. To honor the 25th anniversary of Philip Pullman’s first book in the “Dark Materials” trilogy, the first episode of the hit HBO series is now available to stream for free on HBO’s YouTube channel.
