Disney Plus Game Show Lets Kids Pick ‘The Big Fib’

In the era of fake news, can a kid identify an adult’s lies?

Disney+ is determined to find out. The streamer has ordered 30 episodes of the 30-minute show “The Big Fib,” which is based on the Gen-Z Media podcast “Pants on Fire.”

The gamer will have two hosts: Yvette Nicole Brown, best known as part of NBC’s “Community” cast, and Rhys Darby, who recently starred in “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle.”

Brown also stars in Disney+’s upcoming live-action adaptation of the classic “Lady and the Tramp.”

The “Big Fib” premise mirrors the podcast: Two adults claim to be topic experts, but only one is telling the truth. The child contestant has to determine which is the liar. The show also includes tricky fibs, fun facts and a goofy robot.

Haymaker Productions describes it as “big fun with a mission.”

Other unscripted shows on Disney+’s debut include reality series such as “The World According to Jeff Goldblum,” “Ink & Paint” and “Be Our Chef.”

Disney+ launches November 12.
