Disney Plus Joins Comic-Con@Home, Promotes ‘Phineas and Ferb’ Movie, ‘Marvel’s 616,’ ‘Right Stuff’

To celebrate Comic-Con@Home, Disney+ is offering three virtual panels to showcase some of its upcoming originals. They are: the anthology docuseries “Marvel’s 616,” the animated “Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Candace Against the Universe” and “The Right Stuff,” the streamer’s first scripted series from National Geographic.

Comic-Com@ Home will be held July 22-26.

More specifically, “Marvel’s 616” chronicles the storytelling, pop culture and fandom within the Marvel Universe. Directors Gillian Jacobs, Paul Scheer and executive producers Sarah Amos and Jason Sterman discuss how they made the series on July 23 at 1 p.m. PT

“Phineas and Ferb,” the popular animated TV show about two brothers and their controlling sister, has spawned a film: “Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Candace Against the Universe.” The panel gives a first look at the upcoming movie and discusses the quirky series that ran from 2008 to 2015. Stars Ashley Tisdale, Vincent Martella, Maulik Pancholy and Dee Bradley Baker, as well as the creators-executive producers Dan Povenmire and Jeff “Swampy” Marsh and director Bob Bowen, will participate on a panel on July 25 at 12 p.m. PT

“The Right Stuff” has the distinction of being the first original series from National Geographic to stream on Disney+. The show examines the early days of the U.S. space program. Seven military pilots become NASA astronauts during the Cold War, competing to be the first in space. The panel includes Patrick J. Adams (“Major John Glenn”), Jake McDorman (“Lieutenant Commander Alan Shepard”), Colin O’Donoghue (“Captain Gordon Cooper”), Michael Trotter (“Gus Grissom”), Aaron Staton (“Wally Schirra”), Micah Stock (“Deke Slayton”), Nora Zehetner (“Annie Glenn”), Shannon Lucio (“Louise Shepard”), showrunner-executive producer Mark Lafferty, and executive producer Jennifer Davisson. The panel takes place on July 25 at 1 p.m. PT.

The Disney+ panels will join previously announced conversations from Walt Disney Television and Hulu during Comic-Con@Home.
