Last week, HBO Max revealed that they added 4.1 million subscribers since the service launched on May 15th.
With 70% more time being spent on the app compared in HBO, unsurprisingly, the company says that “Friends” was the most popular show on the platform.
But, coming in as the second most popular show, is Max Original series, “Love Life”, starring Anna Kendrick. The show has already been renewed for a second season, but will follow a different main character. Following “Love Life”, was “The Big Bang Theory” as the third most popular show.
HBO says that eight of the top 25 series are HBO Max Originals: Love Life, Doom Patrol, Loony Tunes, The Not-Too-Late Show, Legendary, Search Party, Close Enough, and Expecting Amy.
According to WarnerMedia, HBO Max users are younger than HBO subscribers, with 23% falling between 18-24.
Not all has gone according to plan though. The service is still not available on Amazon Fire TV or Roku, which makes up 80 million active streaming players.
