‘Pick of the Litter’ Original Series Heads to Disney Plus on Dec. 20

Disney+ announced a new original docu-series titled “Pick of the Litter” via Twitter today. The show will premiere on the streaming service on Dec. 20.

The show follows the stories of six dogs and “their human companions as they go on a quest to become Guide Dogs for the Blind,” according to E! News.

“Pick of the Litter” will join the nine original series that debuted on Disney+, including “The Mandalorian” and “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series.”

When Disney+ launched on Nov. 12, it was downloaded 3.2 million times to mobile devices and garnered 1.3 million hours of viewership in its first 24 hours, according to Apptopia. Despite the hiccups, the streaming service reached 10 million subscribers merely 24-hours post launch.

One of the top selling points of Disney+ is that customers can opt to subscribe to the service as part of a bundle package that comes with the ad-supported tier of Hulu, as well as ESPN+. Customers can get the for $12.99 a month, which is $5 less than if you subscribed to each service separately. With the bundle, you can get the three services for less than Netflix.
