Disney Channel to Add 5,000 Episodes & 100 Movies to Disney+ At Launch

Duck Tales, Hannah Montana, High School Musical, Lizzie McGuire, & More

At today’s Disney Investor Day, Disney unveiled some of the details of their upcoming SVOD streaming service, Disney+. As part of the announcement they revealed the service will debut in the U.S. on November 12th for $6.99 a Month or $70 a year.

One of the big contributors of the content at launch will be the Disney Channel. Gary Marsh, President of Disney Channel revealed that 5,000 episodes and 100 movies from the channel will be available on the day of launch. Some of the series mentioned were Duck Tales, Hannah Montana, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, High School Musical, and Lizzy McGuire.

Marsh also announced that they will be making Phineas & Ferb: The Movie, and bringing all 127 of their classic episodes to the service. Additionally, Disney+ will be making a new series based on High School Musical called High School Musical: The Musical - The Series. The show follows a school putting on a production of the original High School Musical.
