Amazon Live and Kellogg’s are collaborating to host “At Home Cooking,” an all-day cook-a-thon to support Feeding America — available to stream on Amazon.com/live and Fire TV.
The event streams live April 23 – 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. ET.
The focus is especially critical now, as more Americans are laid off or furloughed from their jobs, due to COVID-19. The all-day event supports Feeding America, the hunger-relief organization.
In addition to the two companies, 14 celebrity chefs, including Padma Lakshmi, Emeril Lagasse, Rocco DiSpirito and Marcus Samuelsson, have joined the “At Home Cooking” effort. Their goal is to make mealtime easier.
The chefs share every-day recipes and prep tips, as well as participate in a live question-and-answer period. Viewers can also cook with them in real time, as recipe links will stream live.
Feeding America is a nationwide network of more than 200 food banks that feed over 46 million people through food pantries, soup kitchens and community services.
Amazon Live and Kellogg’s are donating directly to the nonprofit. There will also be a link for viewers that want to learn more about Feeding America’s work.
