Quibi First Reactions: Here’s What Users Are Saying About the Streaming Service on Twitter

Quibi, the short-form streaming service from Dreamworks’ founder Jeffrey Katzenberg and former eBay CEO Meg Whitman just launched today and already users are offering up their opinions. According to Variety, the fact that content is restricted to mobile-only viewing — a factor Quibi has been touting as one of their biggest differentiators — isn’t so popular with fans.

“Consumers have come to expect subscription services to be available across all platforms — TV, web and mobile — and on social media, some people were in disbelief by Quibi’s mobile-only restriction,” Variety reported.

Nonetheless, the streaming service has also garnered its fair share of supporters. The Turnstyle feature, which allows you to seamlessly switch from portrait to landscape viewing, has been a hit with fans. Mixed reviews notwithstanding, Quibi has been the subject of some major buzz online. Here is what some consumers are saying about the app on Twitter so far.
