Roku Unveils New Streaming Players Lineup, Includes New Roku Express and New Roku Ultra

Today, Roku unveiled the lineup of new Roku devices which will roll out in the weeks coming. The lineup includes newer versions of the Roku Express and the Roku Ultra and five additional devices.

The new Roku Express offers easy HD streaming in a sleek new form factor. It’s 10% smaller than the previous version and is designed to blend in when connected to a TV. The device can be fully powered by most televisions if an outlet is not nearby, reducing clutter. The new Roku Express also comes with a simple remote featuring channel shortcut buttons, high-speed HDMI cable, and a power adaptor.

The new Roku Ultra features fast channel launch and a remote with personal shortcut buttons designed to get to content quickly. It also offers HD, 4K & HDR and comes with an enhanced quad-core processor and 802.11ac dual-band wireless. The fast channel launch feature delivers entertainment faster, improving channel launch times for the top channels across the Roku platform.

Additionally, new programmable personal shortcut buttons on the Enhanced Roku Voice Remote offer personalization and one-touch control of entertainment. Additional features include a headphone jack for private listening and buttons for TV power, volume, and mute, premium JBL headphones included for private listening, USB port for local media playback and MicroSD slot for channel caching, and more.

The Roku Express will be available for $29.99 while the Roku Ultra goes for $99.99.

Five additional Roku devices were also announced as part of the lineup:

Roku Express+

Priced at $39.99 it features the new sleek form factor and a Roku Voice remote and will be available exclusively at Walmart.

Roku Premiere

Priced also at $39.99, the Roku Premiere delivers easy 4K & HDR streaming with a simple remote.

Roku Streaming Stick+

Will be available for $59.99 and offers a powerful, portable HD, 4K and HDR streaming with the long-range wireless and a Roku Voice Remote with TV controls,

Roku Streaming Stick+ HE

Also going for $59.99, the device includes the Enhanced Roku Voice Remote with a headphone jack and Roku headphones for Private Listening. It will be available exclusively at Best Buy.

Roku Ultra LT

Available exclusively at Walmart, the device features HD, 4K and HDR streaming, ethernet, 802.11ac MIMO dual-band wireless, an Enhanced Roku Voice remote with TV controls and Roku headphones. It’ll be available for $79.99.
