The supernatural “The Order” premieres its second season today on Netflix with 10 episodes.
Set at a college, the show revolves around freshman Jack Morton (Jake Manley, “iZombie,”), who joins a secret society, the Hermetic Order of the Blue Rose, known as The Order. Here, magic and family secrets are exposed. So is a battle between werewolves and the dark arts.
Season one of the fantasy horror series launched in March 2019, created by Dennis Heaton (“Ghost Wars”) and Shelley Erikson (“Private Eyes”). Both also serve as executive producers.
Other cast members include Sarah Grey (“Legends of Tomorrow’s Stargirl”), Matt Frewer (“Watchmen”), Sam Trammell (“True Blood”) and Max Martini (“Training Day”).
The final episode last season ended with Jack’s memory and the werewolves wiped away. Meantime, the Knights struggle to regain their memories and plot revenge. That’s in addition to the murder of Jack’s grandfather. It’s thought the second season will focus on Vera, a major player in the Order, who doesn’t like Jack.
New cast members include Olesia Shewchuck (“Deadpool”), Kyle Strauts (“Supergirl”) and Grace Dove (“The Revenant”).
