YouTube TV has quietly added The CW in four new markets including New York, Miami, and Phoenix. The new affiliates come from E.W. Scripps, which were all acquired by Scripps in a divesture by Nexstar as part of after their purchase Tribune Media. YouTube TV had already carried the Scripps affiliate in Tuscon (KWBA).
For YouTube TV subscribers, the channels are some of the largest local CW affiliates in the country.
New Markets
For New York Yankees fans, the addition of WPIX, which hasn’t been available on any Live TV Streaming Service, means that YouTube TV subscribers will be able to watch some games (when they return), despite the fact that the service no longer carries YES Network. Those games will also be simulcast on Amazon Prime Video as part of their stake in the Yankees.
YouTube TV is by far and away has the most carriage of CW affiliates with over 70 local affiliates. In comparison, [AT&T NOW] has nearly 30 CW affiliates, Hulu Live TV has almost 20, and Fubo has about 10. Sling TV doesn’t carry the channel in either of their Sling Orange or Sling Blue packages.
