In February, WarnerMedia reached an expanded a distribution deal with YouTube TV that would bring HBO Max to the platform. Today, YouTube TV confirmed that HBO Max will go live when it officially launches on May 27th.

Starting 5/27, you’ll be able to add @HBOMax to your YouTube TV membership. Welcome to the family!
Earlier this month, Hulu also reached a deal with WarnerMedia to bring HBO Max to Hulu and Hulu Live TV for their launch.
When it launches, it’s expected that the premium add-on to the Live TV Streaming Services for the same $14.99 a month that it is available directly from HBO.
However, HBO Max is currently running a promotion to get the service for just $11.99 a month (for the next 12 months), if you sign-up directly prior to May 27th. The biggest downside is that you won’t be able to access the content through the YouTube TV or Hulu apps.
Prior to these deals, HBO had seen declining distribution through Live TV Streaming Services. While it is bundled with some AT&T TV NOW plans, prior to this new deal with YouTube TV, it was only available on Hulu and PlayStation Vue, before its shutdown. In November 2018, HBO was removed from Dish and their streaming service Sling TV and haven’t seen them return. It has never been available on fuboTV or Philo.
