Earlier this month, we learned that fuboTV will be broadcasting the entire 2019 Women’s World Cup in 4K. Today, it was announced that FOX will also be streaming the games in 4K in their own FOX NOW and FOX Sports Apps. This means that if you have a streaming, cable, or streaming subscription — you can watch all matches live in 4K using your TV Everywhere credentials.
Both apps are available on all major streaming media players including Apple TV, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, Xbox, iOS, Android, and your computer. In order to stream in 4K though, you will need a Apple TV 4K or a Roku device that supports 4K streaming including the latest Roku TVs, Roku Premiere, Roku Streaming Stick+, and Roku Ultra. For the first time, the streaming telecasts will also feature Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound.
The 2019 World Cup will air 52 games across FOX (22), FS1 (27) and FS2 (3) starting on June 7th. The coverage will include Team USA group stage matches against Thailand on June 11th, Chile on June 16th, and Sweden on June 20th.
