HBO Max App Now Available on VIZIO SmartCast Smart TVs, Including Select Free Shows & Movies
VIZIO and WarnerMedia have announced that the HBO Max app is now available on VIZIO SmartCast TVs.
SmartCast users now have access to more than 13,000 hours of content with an HBO Max subscription. VIZIO users can navigate the HBO Max app with the push-to-talk Voice Remote or through the free SmartCast Mobile app on iOS and Android devices.
HBO Max was previously available on select VIZIO Smart TVs, by using Google Cast or AirPlay from your iPhone, iPad, or Mac. In addition to VIZIO, HBO Max also has a native Smart TV apps for Samsung Smart TVs (2016+) and LG Smart TVs after coming to the platform last month.
You can also use it on Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Chromecast, Android TV, Xbox, PS4, iPhone, iPad, Android, and your computer.
With the app, VIZIO users have access to a custom carousel on the SmartCast home screen. Selected HBO Max titles will be available to stream without a subscription via the custom carousel. Some of the titles available include Game of Thrones, Euphoria, Perry Mason, Love Life, Raised By Wolves, and many others.
With an HBO Max subscription, users can access an extensive content library, featuring new series, film debuts, and content from Warner Bros., DC, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, [Turner Classic Movies], and more.

Some of HBO Max’s recent programming includes Tig Notaro: Drawn, Back On The Record With Bob Costas, Small Town News: KPVM Pahrump, the new season of Hard Knocks: The Dallas Cowboys, and The White Lotus. When Dune makes its theatrical debut this fall, HBO Max subscribers will be able to stream it from home on the same day it opens in theaters.
