Here Are All the Shows Quibi Has Announced So Far — Reality TV, Drama, News and More

Last week during CES 2020, Quibi’s top execs finally revealed more information about the upcoming streaming service. Tom Conrad, Quibi’s chief product officer, announced that the service will come with a new innovation they call “Turnstyle,” which allows for seamless fullscreen viewing whether the consumer is holding their phone in landscape or portrait mode.

In addition to the new technology, Quibi will also launch with a host of new shows. Because it’s the first of its kind in the streaming wars — offering high-quality short form content with a duration of 7 to 10 minutes — Quibi has had to create a lot of its own content.

Over the past couple months, the streaming service, which launches on April 6, has been aggregating content for their platform. They are in partnership with ESPN, which will be the exclusive U.S. multi-sport content provider for Quibi’s curated news and information programming “Daily Essentials,” as well as CBS, which will produce “60 in 6,” a more condensed version of “60 Minutes” for the platform.

The mobile streaming service will offer two plans — $4.99 with ads and $7.99 without ads. The ad-supported product will include a pre-roll ad, as well as a one to two mid-roll ads depending on the length of the content. According to Quibi founder Jeffrey Katzenberg, the streaming service will rollout more than 175 new original shows and 8,500 quick bites of content, including comedies, dramas, dating shows and news in the year following its launch.
