Can You Watch Wimbledon on ESPN or ESPN+?

Yes, ESPN covers the Australian Open, Wimbledon, and the US Open (three of the four grand slam tournaments) and has simultaneous coverage on ESPN+ as well. ESPN+ is a standalone app while ESPN is a channel carried by live TV streaming services, the latter of which have trials to cover you through most of Wimbledon for free. This year, ESPN+ will also stream the Ladies’ & Gentlemen’s Semifinals and Championship Rounds beginning 7/13, which it didn’t cover in prior years.

What’s best way to stream Wimbledon?

As you can see, there are five live-tv streaming providers who will cover Roland Garros. Of those, we have two picks that you should consider above the others: DIRECTV STREAM and Sling.

Our Top Pick: DIRECTV STREAM

  • Best for sports lovers
  • Multiple screens at the same time
  • ABC, ESPN, The Tennis Channel, and everything else you want
  • Month-to-month billing (no annual contract)

Best Budget Pick: Sling TV

  • Get the matches and little more
  • First month is only $15 for ESPN channels
  • Cheapest of all the live-streaming services
  • Month-to-month billing (no annual contract)

We’d rank the remaining services in the following order: Fubo, Hulu Live TV, and YouTube.

  • fuboTV: Fubo is already one of the most expensive live-streaming services for ESPN. But at least it has everything you need to watch all the matches and has multi-screen capabilities like DIRECTV STREAM. It also has a free-trial period of 7 days, which can give you most of the tournament.
  • Hulu Live TV: If you already pay for Disney+, Hulu, or ESPN+,then this is a great way to save some money by bundling everything together at $76.99 / month. This will give you access to all the major matches of the Grand Slams. However, Hulu Live TV does not carry the Tennis Channel at all so you’ll have to stick with the major finals that air exclusively on ESPN and ABC.
  • YouTube TV: While YouTube carries ABC and ESPN, it doesn’t carry The Tennis Channel and you don’t get other perks like you would with Hulu Live TV (such as ESPN, Hulu Originals, or Disney movies). However, if you already pay for the service, you’ll at least get the major matches.

Additionally, Wimbledon will be airing tape-delays of the major matches and highlights on the Tennis Channel. For those who want to watch in spanish, ESPN Deportes will simulcast Wimbledon for most matches.
