The NFL Had Two Surprises for Cord Cutters This Weekend

The NFL released their updated app this past weekend which included two major surprises:

  • The ability to watch NFL Sunday Ticket directly from the NFL App
  • The ability to subscribe to mobile-access NFL RedZone

NFL RedZone in NFL App

Sunday Ticket in the NFL App

To watch NFL Sunday Ticket from the NFL App you will need to authenticate with your DirecTV or SundayTicket.TV credentials. You will be able to watch on your smartphone, tablet, or your media streaming devices.

RedZone Channel Subscription in the NFL App

The NFL will now let you subscribe to the RedZone Channel directly from the app without a cable subscription. For $4.99 a month, you will get access to NFL RedZone on your mobile device.

Unfortunately, you won’t be able to AirPlay, Cast, or watch on your media streaming device.

In order to Watch NFL RedZone on your TV without cable, you will have to subscribe to a Live TV Streaming Service like fuboTV, PlayStation Vue, or Sling TV.
