About Andy Ruiz vs. Anthony Joshua Fight
This will be the second meeting for the two boxers after predicted underdog Andy Ruiz beat fan favorite Anthony Joshua back in June. Ruiz will defend his IBF, WBA and WBO titles against Joshua, looking to show fans that his prior victory wasn’t just sheer luck. Joshua, on the other hand, will aim to regain his crown and take back his reputation as arguably the top heavyweight in the sport.
Both fighters have put an emphasis on fitness and trimmed down in preparation for this match. “I’m not going to try to slim down to the point where I look like a cruiserweight,” Joshua told DAZN back in September. “I’m going to slim down to the point where I’m good for boxing and I’m good for 12 rounds.”
Ruiz, on the other hand, had a goal weight of 255 to 257 pounds, down 9-11 pounds from the 268 he carried when he beat Joshua, DAZN reported.
