The 2020 Big Ten Tournament begins today and runs through to Selection Sunday on March 15. This year’s tournament takes place at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.

Wisconsin enters this year’s Big Ten Tournament as the top overall seed, but the path to victory won’t be an easy one. Other contenders include Michigan State, Maryland, Illinois, Iowa and Ohio State, which were all ranked in the AP Top 25 after the regular season wrapped on Sunday.
“Wisconsin, Michigan State and Maryland all finished the season 14-6 in Big Ten play, but the Badgers claimed the top overall seed of the Big Ten Tournament thanks to their 2-1 record against the Spartans and Terrapins. Michigan State was 2-2 against its fellow co-champions, while Maryland was 1-2,” the Sporting News said.
The tournament will also feature Illinois center Kofi Cockburn, who was named the Big Ten Freshman of the Year. Cockburn led “the Illini with 8.8 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per game while also averaging 13.3 points, good for second on the team,” the Chicago Tribune noted.
The Big Ten Tournament can be watched exclusively on the Big Ten Network from Round 1 up until the quarterfinals. Semifinal matches and the championship game will be broadcast on CBS.
